ASA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Philadelphia ASA softball championships in men’s and women’s slow-pitch and modified fast-pitch divisions will be played Aug. 15-16. Call Ray Filoon, 215-685-8734.

BARRY PLAYGROUND

Barry Playground, 18th and Johnston streets, is holding registration for girls’ softball for ages 7-11 and a girls’ development basketball program for ages 8-12. Call Greg or Cap, 215-685-1886. To register children for swim lessons, stop by the playground between 1:30-10 p.m.

GOLF PROGRAM

The Philadelphia Department of Recreation will conduct its annual golf program this summer. Openings are still available for boys and girls ages 11-15 for sessions at the Longknockers driving range, 33rd and Oxford streets; Fisher’s Glen Driving Range, 4717 Fisher’s Lane; and the Cobbs Creek Golf Club, 72nd Street and Lansdowne Avenue. The program is held different weeks at each location, and features instruction from members of the Philadelphia Section of the Professional Golfers Association. The Recreation Department will provide all necessary equipment to teach each camper. The camp runs from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. The cost is $40. GUERIN BASKETBALL

PHILADELPHIA SOCCER CLUB

SEYAA BASEBALL

The SEYAA tee-ball/baseball banquet for age divisions 4-12 will be held Sept. 21. Tickets are available and will be sold on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. at the sports complex. Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 1, and no tickets will be sold at the door. The baseball participant does not need a ticket.

SEYAA SOCCER

SEYAA is accepting registrations for its fall outdoor soccer program, which begins Sept. 12. Age divisions will be 4-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17. All games will be played Wednesday or Thursday evenings at the sports complex, Seventh and Bigler streets. Pre-registration starts tomorrow for boys and girls ages 7-15 interested in joining the Sigma Sharks football and cheerleading programs, based at Chew Recreation Center, 19th and Ellsworth streets.
