ASA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

CAPITOLO PLAYGROUND
The playground, Ninth and Federal streets, is looking for teams interested in joining the women’s flag football, women’s softball, men’s softball and youth NFL Flag Football programs. DVYAA FALL BASEBALL
The organization is accepting registration for fall baseball for ages 7-9 and 10-12 at Barry Playground, 18th and Johnston streets, Monday-Friday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Call 215-468-1265.

EOM FOOTBALL
The athletic association is registering participants ages 6-14 for its football program at Murphy Recreation Center, Fourth and Shunk streets, Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for the next four weeks. Call 215-271-1994.

GORETTI VOLLEYBALL
Tryouts for the St. Maria Goretti volleyball team will be held in the school gym Monday at 3 p.m. Players should be dressed appropriately and have protective kneepads. Practice will end at about 5 p.m. Call 215-465-8437 and ask for the athletic office.

PALUMBO FLAG FOOTBALL
The recreation center, 10th and Fitzwater streets, is accepting registration in person only for its fall flag football program for age groups 9-11, 12-14 and 14-17. Cost is $40 for the 14-17 program and $35 for the others. The program begins Sept. 8 with games played Wednesday, Thursday or Friday nights, depending on age group. Call 215-686-1783.

PHILADELPHIA SOCCER CLUB
The club needs experienced players for its under-13 boys’ team (players born between Aug. 1, 1990, and July 31, 1991) for the 2003-04 season. The team will play against top-level United Junior League and Delco League competition. Call coach Joe McDermott, 215-624-3919.

SABRES BASEBALL BANQUET
The organization will sell tickets Sept. 15-19 at the baseball complex, Sixth Street and Packer Avenue, for all divisions. All players’ tickets are paid. The cost for family and friends is $15 per ticket or $20 at the door. The banquet will be held at the Waterfall Room, Front and Water streets, Oct. 19 and 26.

SENIOR SOFTBALL LEAGUE

SEYAA BASEBALL

The SEYAA tee-ball/baseball banquet for age divisions 4-12 will be held Sept. 21. Tickets will be sold Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6-8 p.m., at the sports complex until Sept. 1; no tickets will be sold at the door. Baseball players do not need tickets.

SEYAA SOCCER
SEYAA is accepting registration for its fall outdoor soccer program, which begins Sept. 12. Age divisions will be 4-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17.
