AAU GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Next Level Basketball Inc. will hold girls’ Amateur Athletic Union tryouts on Sunday at Ss. John Neumann and Maria Goretti High, 10th and Moore streets. Tryouts for ages 13-14 will be held noon-2 p.m., ages 11-12 from 2-4 p.m. and 10-year-olds from 4-6 p.m. Registration fee is $25 and parents must attend. Call Carol Haynes, 215-760-6600.

ALHAMBRA TOURNAMENT
The Neumann-Goretti boys’ basketball team will open the Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament today at 4 p.m. against Towson Catholic. The eight-squad tournament, which features Catholic high-school teams from Philadelphia, Virginia and Maryland, is taking place at Frostburg State University in Maryland. The semifinals will follow tomorrow; the championship round will be held Saturday.

ALL-STAR LABOR CLASSIC
The All-Star Labor Classic will be held April 3 at Saint Joseph’s University. The area’s best boys’ and girls’ high-school basketball players will compete in two city vs. suburbs games. Philadelphia’s organized labor is sponsoring the event to benefit United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia and Vicinity as well as high-school athletes. Tickets are free for students and $5 for adults. BOCCE LEAGUES
The South Philadelphia Men’s and Women’s Bocce Leagues play Tuesdays and Thursdays at Guerin Recreation Center, 16th and Jackson streets, starting 7:30 p.m. In last Thursday’s women’s games, Southern Auto defeated Mazza Bros., 12-5; PFC beat Southern, 12-1; Mazza took the win over City Pizza, 12-11; and City defeated PFC, 12-10. In Tuesday’s men’s games, Maglio Sausage defeated Camilli Chiropractic, 12-5, and Casa dei Pazzi, 12-11; Pine Nuts beat Chef’s Market, 12-5, and Rudi’s Formal Wear, 12-3; Chef’s took the win over Casa, 12-9; and Camilli defeated Rudi’s, 12-5.

DEL-VAL TRAVEL BASEBALL
The Del-Val travel team of 13-year-olds will hold tryouts Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Seventh Street and Packer Avenue. Call 215-468-1265.

GAMP CHEERLEADERS
The Girard Academic Music Program cheerleading squad won the non-pyramid division in the Public League competition held March 3 at William Penn High. The team was coached by Eva Martin and led by co-captains Jessica Stewart and Sharday Williams. Former student Daquan Thomas helped choreograph the dance routine.

GUERIN BASKETBALL
Guerin Recreation Center, 16th and Jackson streets, is holding registration for its 13-and-under after-school basketball league. Games will be played at 4 and 5 p.m. starting March 24. The $20 registration fee is due at signup and includes a T-shirt, award and pizza party. Call Pete, 215-685-1894.

JOE FORTUNA BASEBALL
Registration for the spring baseball and tee-ball league is held Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m., at Murphy Recreation Center, Third and Shunk streets. The fee, which includes uniforms, trophies and a banquet, is $35 for ages 4-7, $40 for 7-15 and $70 for 16-19.

NEUMANN-GORETTI GOLF OUTING

SABRES BASEBALL
