GOLF CAMP
The Philadelphia Recreation Department will conduct its annual golf program at Cobbs Creek Golf Club, 72nd Street and Lansdowne Avenue. This highly successful program features instruction from members of the Philadelphia section of the Professional Golfers Association the first three days of the week along with two days at a local public golf course. The recreation department will provide all necessary equipment. The camp at Cobbs Creek golf course will be held the week of Aug. 6, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The cost is $50. HATTY TIES RECORD
Neumann-Goretti senior quarterback Mark Hatty tied a City All-Star game record last month when he threw two touchdown passes. Hatty completed nine of 18 passes for 135 yards and received the Sportsmanship Award for the game. At the recent Millay Club banquet, he received the Outstanding Athlete of the Year Award. Delaware Valley College, and Shippensburg and La Salle universities are a few of the schools he is considering for the 2007 season.
