It’s not every day a former Speaker of the House — or a nationally known civil rights leader or the country’s Secretary of Education — visits, but Tuesday a fourth-grade literacy class welcomed these special guests. Newt Gingrich, Al Sharpton and Arne Duncan, shown, made McDaniel School, 1801 S. 22nd St., one of their first stops on a multicity tour that will shine a spotlight on educational challenges and reforms.
