Patrons of a Pennsport store had an encounter in the parking lot that resulted in an exchange of words and one being sprayed with Mace.

A 25-year-old was pulling into a space in the parking lot of Walmart, 1675 S. Columbus Boulevard, at 1:56 p.m. Monday, when a woman driving yelled, “you fat white cracker, you stole my parking spot,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. After spewing the words, the woman’s passenger, exited the vehicle, sprayed the 25-year-old in the face with a liquid that appeared to be pepper spray before jumping back in the car.

The automobile — a purple or red Hyundai, Kia or Toyota sedan — fled the area. The woman suffered redness, tearing and burning in her eyes. Her face and left arm were red and burning as well, but she did not seek medical treatment.

The driver was described as black with a medium complexion, age 26 to 30, short, thin and had short, black hair while her passenger was described as a black woman with a medium complexion, in her 30s, 6 foot, 150 pounds and thin.
