Scottoline continues to prove that quality and quantity matter equally to contemporary authors. The award-winning scribe and native of the 1100 block of Daly Street has penned 20 well-received novels, with delighted readers across the globe tearing through more than 30 million copies.

The Lower Moyamensing product earned an English degree and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. Using the legal world as inspiration, Scottoline, the 1995 Edgar Award honoree for Best Paperback Original Mystery, has crafted layered looks at human interaction and has served as the president of Mystery Writers of America and as a faculty member at her Ivy League alma mater. The 57-year-old, who resides in the Philadelphia area, writes a weekly column for a local publication and will issue “Accused,” a thriller set at an all-female law firm, in the fall.
