A man became an assault victim at Citizens Bank Park Saturday.
The complainant stated he was at the venue, 1 Citizens Bank Way, at 8:57 p.m. when another male accused him of stealing his money off the outside bar of McFadden’s, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said, with the upset figure punching him in the right ear. The blow rendered him unconscious and led to his transport to Methodist Hospital, where he received six stitches.
The assigned officer attempted to interview the injured man, who stated he could not remember anything about the incident, Tolliver said. The law enforcement worker returned to McFadden’s to see if surveillance video caught the matter but learned the site lacks cameras in that area. The victim described the attacker as white, 6 foot, 195 pounds; and wearing a blue shirt and black pants and shoes.
