A verbal altercation in Point Breeze led to a hospital stop for a local female.
Authorities traveled to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital at 12:30 p.m. July 7, learning from the complainant that she had been involved in a spat six-and-a-half hours earlier with an unknown woman over money on the 1700 block of Latona Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. During the disagreement, the offender, whom she described as black, short, heavy set and having short gray hair, struck her in the head with an ashtray, with medical personnel stitching the wound.
