Last week, the U.S. Department of Justice charged a man with attempting to rob a West Passyunk financial institution.
The indictment posits that William Minson successfully pulled off a heist in Kensington Aug. 19 and tried to duplicate the feat three days later at the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 2300 Snyder Ave. If authorities find him guilty, the 49-year-old faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, a $500,000 fine, three years of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment.
