On Monday, the Philadelphia Police Department announced the arrest of Alberto Lopez, who turned himself to the Central Detectives Division over his supposed involvement in a June 11 matter outside Geno’s Steaks, 1219 S. Ninth St. In the incident, surveillance footage captured five men assaulting three complainants at 4:15 a.m., with the suspects fleeing in a dark pickup truck and an SUV, both bearing a New Jersey license plate.
On the same day Lopez surrendered, authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of Luis Nieves. The former posted bail and will have a preliminary hearing Oct. 27.
