No shot at a job

Under the guise of looking for work, a gunman delivered two shots to a male in Grays Ferry.

The at-large suspect entered Northern Liberties Food Processors, 1400 S. Warfield St., at 3 p.m. Nov. 11 and proceeded to ask a worker about employment possibilities. He pulled out a handgun and demanded the location’s payroll money, but the person refused to give it to the perpetrator and engaged him in a struggle.

The incident led the suspect to discharge his weapon twice, with one shot striking the worker in the left shoulder and the other catching him in the stomach. He received transport to Presbyterian Hospital, where personnel listed him in stable condition. Surveillance footage caught the shooter fleeing in an escape vehicle parked on the 1400 block of South 33rd Street.
