Biddy basketball

Murphy Recreation Center, 300 W. Shunk St., is forming a co-ed, 6–8 year old biddy basketball league. The league fee is $40 and includes T-shirts, trophies, and a pizza party. Call 215–685–1874 for more information.

Biddy hoops

The Edward O’Malley Athletic Association, 144 Moore St., is taking registrations for its co-ed, 3-to-8-years-old biddy basketball program. The cost is $30 for six games, instruction, a uniform, and a trophy, with action commencing Feb. 4. Contact John, 215–266–4195.

Fiocca hits 1,000

Maureen Fiocca, a Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School graduate and senior guard for the Arcadia University basketball team, reached 1,000 career points Jan. 11, depositing 21 in her team’s 74–68 loss to Lebanon Valley College.

Green named All-American

Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School senior guard Quade Green, who committed to the University of Kentucky in November, will participate in the McDonald’s All-American Game March 29 at the Chicago-situated United Center.

Palumbo soccer

Pee Wee Basketball

Rizzo Rink news

Rizzo Rink, 1001 S. Front St., hosts Open Ice Hockey for adults 9–10:15 p.m. Tuesdays. Skaters are $10, and goalies are free. It is considering offering Open Figure Skating from 3–4 p.m. Mondays if there is a positive response. The cost would be $10 for a single skater and $15 for pairs. Registration is now being accepted for the Spring t-ball, baseball, and girls’ softball programs that begin April 8.
