At 2:04 p.m. Jan. 24, the complainant was driving on the 1900 block of South 20th Street when three unknown males shot at his 2010 Toyota, striking the driver’s side door five times and inflicting a thigh injury, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Video footage reportedly depicted the men hiding behind parked cars on the block.

Through eyewitness accounts, police learned that Robert Reed, of the 2200 block of South Beechwood Street, might have been involved in the incident. At 6 a.m. Jan. 27, they went to his home and arrested him, charging him with attempted murder and related offenses. The victim, who received transport to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, could not provide a detailed description of the other suspects.
