The Philadelphia Police Department is searching for an unknown male

On Monday, May 1 at approximately 4:15 a.m., 17th District officers responded to 1308 S. 20th St. for a fire. Upon arrival, officers found it had spread from 1308 S. 20th St. to 1316 S. 20th St. The Philadelphia Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fire after it went to a second alarm.

According to a construction site employee, workers were last in the properties on Friday, April 28. All properties were under construction and unoccupied, and there were no injuries reported.

A surveillance video recovered from the area depicts an unknown male as a person of interest at the construction site just before the incident occurred. The male was initially seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, but soon after returns without it. Upon his return, the young white male with a thin build was wearing a T-shirt and reflective backpack.
