Before taking on Kevin Owens for the U.S. title at WWE Battleground, which took place at the Wells Fargo Center, AJ Styles stopped by Citizens Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way, on Sunday to throw out the first pitch in the Phillies game against the Brewers.

Former Eagle Connor Barwin may now be a member of the Rams, but his ties to the local community remain strong. He recently stopped by the South Philly Hurricanes practice facility where the organization, including coach Terry Bennett (left), presented him with an award.

Lower Moyamensing Civic Association president Patti Tahan, along with residents Carlos Colon and Dante Johnson spent some time on Friday tending to the community garden at South Philadelphia High School, 2101 S. Broad St. Word is the flowers and veggies are looking great.

Thirty members of the Chester Township Cougars youth football program were invited to Modell’s, 15 Snyder Ave., on Friday to accept a donation of $5,000 in equipment for the upcoming season. Eagles safety Rodney McLeod made a surprise appearance at the event.
