On Monday, at approximately 1:05 a.m., the 3rd District Police responded to a report of a “hospital case” on the 1200 block of Johnston Street. Upon arrival, the officers observed the victim, Michael Massaro, 65, lying on the floor suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. Medic Unit No. 11 arrived on location and pronounced the victim dead at 1:36 a.m., according to officer Tanya Little of the Philadelphia Police Department Office of Public Affairs.
Upon further investigation, Savannah Pharo, 23, from the 700 block of Gaul Street, was arrested and charged for the murder of Massaro.
