All’s Fare: SliCE offering one pizza, seven fishes

By Bill Gelman

Marlo and Jason Dilks, the owners SliCE, 1180 S. 10th St., have rolled out their special holiday menu featuring the pizza of the seven fishes. This seasonal pizza is inspired by their families’ Christmas Eve traditions and the popular South Philadelphia seven fish dinner. It consists of mozzarella topped with clams, mussels, shrimp, tuna, crabmeat and sardine all sauteed with fresh olive oil and garlic, and topped with anchovies, fresh lemon and basil. It will be available until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24). Small pie is $19 while the large is $26.

The seafood Caesar ($15), with romaine, shaved parmigiano-reggiano, house-made Caesar dressing, sauteed shrimp and crabmeat and house-made croutons with Sarcone’s Bakery bread, is another seasonal special.

The Greek pizza ($17), with San Mariano tomato sauce, cool salad of romaine, red onion, feta and olives, is the gluten-free piece of the month that has returned by popular demand.

The specials are available through Jan. 2, and includes New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Visit slicepa.com.
