Herbology, the new medicinal cannabis business scheduled to open on East Passyunk in late August, will host an informational session at the Trocadero Theatre Balcony, located at 1003 Arch St. Philadelphia, 19107, on Aug. 10.
The event includes a showing of “Reefer Madness” — a 1936 film that helped fuel the prohibition against cannabis.
Herbology stresses the importance that people are educated on the truth about cannabis and its benefits. This screening starts with knowing how it came to have such a negative stigma in the first place.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m, and the film start at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a local band performing and a full bar at the event.
The event is for adults 21-years-old and older.
$3 will get you in the door and will go towards a drink or snack at the bar.
There will be raffle prizes, including a free patient certification to receive a medical marijuana ID card, which is a value of $200. Herbology Dispensary will be providing information on the medical cannabis program in Pennsylvania and assistance in the patient sign-up process.
