St. Paul Parish celebrates 175 years with fundraising gala

As both churches are in dire need of repair and upkeep, the parish is hosting a gala in October.

St. Paul Parish is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. The parish consists of two beautiful churches, including St Paul’s Church, located in the renowned Italian Market and St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church, which is the site of the first Italian Catholic Parish in the country.

Both churches are in dire need of repair and upkeep. It is vital to the Bella Vista community and to the entire city of Philadelphia to keep these religious and cultural treasures alive.

To commemorate the 175th anniversary and raise needed funds to help keep the churches operating, the parish is having a gala celebration.

The parish invites you to join us at the 175th anniversary gala on Oct. 21 to celebrate this wonderful occasion — and to help our churches.

Following noon mass at St. Paul Church celebrated by Most Reverend Bishop Timothy C. Senior, the Gala event will take place at Galdo’s, located at 1933 West Moyamensing Avenue on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. with delicious food and a fantastic lineup of entertainment.

Tickets are $100 for adults and $65 for children. The parish hopes that you will consider joining them at this event to show your support of the churches.

To RSVP, please send your name, address, phone number, email and payment to St. Paul Parish – 808 S. Hutchinson Street Philadelphia, PA 19147.

Checks are payable to St. Paul Parish.
