Travis Manion Foundation’s Chew Park Cleanup set for tomorrow

More than 300 Philadelphia community members are expected to join the cleanup in Point Breeze.

On Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 a.m., join the Travis Manion Foundation as the organization rallies more than 300 Philadelphia community members and area high school students to partner with 12 civic and community organizations in the Point Breeze Community of South Philadelphia. The team will meet at Chew Park, located at 1800 Ellsworth Street.

Dozens of volunteer sub-projects will exemplify good character and a commitment to service through a park clean-up, trash pick up, alley clean out and vacant lot clean.

The project is dedicated to fallen heroes MAJ John Pryor, US Army, KIA Iraq 2008; CPL Gennaro Pellegrini, US Army/Philadelphia Police Department, KIA Iraq 2005; LT Demetrius Frison, US Army, KIA Afghanistan 2011.
