The following statement is in regard to an article pulled from South Philly Review
After claims made by a source in a South Philly Review story were brought into question, the story regarding South Philadelphia resident Michael DePasquale and his business dealings with the late chef Anthony Bourdain has been pulled from the South Philly Review website and social media platforms. The story was also pulled from print. Allegations from a source close to Bourdain discredited information in the piece. South Philly Review parent company Newspaper Media Group aims for high journalistic standards and is looking into the matter. If warranted, a full retraction will be issued and printed in next week’s edition.
