Fancy Brigade Finale
From a galactic circus gyrating around the universe to Scotland clans seeking the Northern Lights, the annual assortment of South Philly-bred spectacle will once again take over the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Jan. 1 for 2019’s Fancy Brigade Finale. Presented by the Mummers Fancy Brigade Association, the showcase allows parade-enthused crowds to escape the freezing chills of Broad Street and watch each of the 12 clubs perform in a comfortable indoor setting. Sit back, relax and escape, as the brigades awe its audiences with stunning sights, sounds and, of course, sequins. In true mummery fashion, the performers’ year-long, creative devising will all be put on the line during their four-and-a-half minute routine.
The Mummers Fancy Brigade Association will kickoff the day of festivities with the family showing at 11:30 a.m., which is followed by the same showing at 5 p.m. Both performances will be held in Hall C of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which is located at 11th and Arch streets.
Tickets for the Fancy Brigade Finale are currently on sale. For both the 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. show, tickets range from $24 to $29 for all ages. Tickets can be purchased online at paciolantix.com/events/detail/the-fancy-brigade or by calling 1–800–298–4200.
