On Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Grassroots Advocacy for South Philadelphia invites the public to Guerin Recreation Center, 2201 S. 16th St., to meet candidates in the Democratic primary in the second councilmanic district.

City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson and challenger Lauren Vidas will both be in attendance to address voters’ concerns.

Candidates will spend the first half of the evening answering questions submitted to GRASP. Questions can be submitted at https://bit.ly/2Dl1K1K. The second half of the evening will be a meet-and-greet for attendees to personally ask the candidates questions about issues important to them.

Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Visit the GRASP Facebook page to purchase tickets via Ticketleap. All donations will go toward Guerin Recreation Center and GRASP. The organization strives to work with neighbors and venues in the community while also being able to provide substantive events in the future.
