On Friday, March 1, Chickie’s & Pete’s, 1526 Packer Ave, is once again hosting its Striking Out Cancer event from 5 to 8 p.m. with the help of 94.1 WIP.

The event benefits Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center’s Director’s Fund, which directly supports research at the cancer center. Plus, the restaurant is once again sending a deserving baseball fan to spring training. Celebrity bartenders will be pouring drinks for cash tips that will go toward the fundraising goal. Bartenders include WIP’s Jon Marks, Ike Reese, Eagles reporter Molly Sullivan and Fox Good Day’s Mike Jerrick.

Come early for the The 94WIP Afternoon Show with Jon Marks and former Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Ike Reese starting at 2 p.m, at Chickie’s & Pete’s. Take part in a silent auction and commemorate the event with a snapshot at Philly Photo Booth Co.’s “Selfie Station.” There are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased at www.facebook.com/pg/evalyevents/events.
