Due to the forecasted inclement weather, all School District of Philadelphia schools will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 20. This decision has been made due to current projections of snowy weather that will make it difficult to travel.
The district will announce the decision regarding the status of administrative offices by 5 a.m. on Wednesday. The district will continue to monitor weather conditions as it makes the final decision on administrative offices.
All after-school activities, including all athletic programs and professional development sessions, scheduled for Wednesday are canceled as well. All district early childhood centers will also be closed.
All School District building engineers are to report for work at their normal start time. Further instructions will be provided at that time.
