Wanted: Suspects for robbery around Broad and Fitzwater Streets

The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit needs the public's assistance identifying suspects involved in a robbery around Broad and Fitzwater Streets.

The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is looking to identify the individuals depicted in the surveillance video excerpts below as part of an ongoing investigation into a robbery point of gun that occurred on Thursday, March 28. at approximately 2:55 a.m., along the 700 block of South Broad Street.

The two victims were walking north on Broad Street when they were approached from behind by three males, two of whom were armed with handguns, who demanded the victims belongings. After a brief struggle, the males fled with various items stolen from the victims, including a purse from the female victim and a backpack and a wallet from the male victim. The males fled north on Broad Street and then east on Fitzwater Street.

The two males that were armed with the handguns were on foot and the third male was riding a silver and blue colored ten speed type bicycle. One of the three males was taken into custody shortly after the robbery. The Police Department is looking to identify the other two males.

The first suspect male was apprehended shortly after the robbery.

The second suspect is described as an African American male, in his early to mid-20s, approximately 5’8-5’11” tall, thin to medium built, wearing a black hooded jacket over a  grey hooded sweatshirt, black or dark blue athletic type pants with white vertical stripes (possibly Adidas brand) and black shoes. This male was armed with a large black semi-automatic handgun.

The third suspect is described as an African American male, in his early to mid-20s, approximately 5’8″-5’11” tall, medium built, wearing all dark clothing, including a hooded jacket or jacket with a dark hooded sweatshirt underneath. This male was riding a blue / silver ten speed type bicycle.
