On Saturday, July 20, Bethanna, a Point Breeze-based nonprofit providing care for children and families in order to ensure safety, restore emotional wellness and build family stability, is hosting its annual community festival at Smith Playground, located at 2100 South 24th Street from 11.a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will include food, live music, and performances by local artists and some well-known names, such as gospel artist Dezzie, comedian, TuRae, and the iconic Delfonics.

The afternoon will feature resources and information to an estimated 500 children, seniors, and families, as well as, community members who will attend the event. There will also be games, crafts, backpack and book giveaways.

As a nonprofit organization, Bethanna can’t host these types of free events alone. That is why Bethanna is proud to have community partners who are helping to sponsor the upcoming festival, including the Clayman Foundation, PECO, Senator Anthony H. Williams, Sean’s Helping Hands, West Powelton Development, Columbus Construction, Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, and Herr’s.
