The 3rd Police District will hold a community day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will be located at 1100 Wharton Street in front of Philadelphia Police Department 3rd District office.
The 3rd Police District is asking for public support and assistance to help spread the word about this event.
The district encourages families to bring their children. The event will feature snacks, games, face painting, community service providers, law enforcement displays and entertainment.
The district has also planned a culturally-diverse entertainment lineup from the neighborhood, which includes DJ Dro, The Paper Shakers Band and Mexican folk dancing.
