Part of its landmark Spit Spreads Death exhibition and project, the Mütter Museum will host a free health fair in partnership with nearly 50 local organizations and health care providers on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Mifflin Square Park, 6th and Ritner Streets.

The fair includes free screenings for cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, Hep B, HIV, and oral health. Attendees can also receive free flu vaccinations.

Information will be available about Narcan training, breast cancer, nutrition, health insurance, access to food, mental health, domestic violence services and refugee and asylum-seeker health.

At the event, representatives from Vietnamese, Cambodian, Mexican and Latinx health organizations, LGBTI and youth organizations, and sexual and reproductive health organizations will also be present.

Children can enjoy a literacy corner with book giveaways.

The health fair concludes with a 2019 Fringe Festival presentation of a collaborative nomadic dance-parade called Úumbal: Nomadic Choreography for Inhabitants that features interactive audience participation and a block party finale.
