Friends of the South Philadelphia Library Fundraiser Happy Hour from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Thirsty Soul, 1551 W. Passyunk Ave. Come out to support the South Philadelphia Library and its hygiene kits. Entrance is free, and Thirsty Soul will donate 10 percent of all happy hour proceeds to the Friend to support the library’s personal hygiene kit program. Since May, the library staff has distributed over 125 kits filled with supplies like deodorant, socks, soap, pads, bandages and information on local resources.
