The 17th Police District is collecting coats to be distributed to local residents in need. The district has been collecting coats, hats and gloves in both children and adult sizes.
Items will be available for pickup during an open house at the 17th Police District at 1201 South 20th Street on Feb. 3 from noon to 8 p.m.
If residents would like to donate new or gently used items to the coat drive, they can be dropped off at the 17th Police District at any time.
