Academy at Palumbo caps off incredible rally

It was a dramatic finish as the Academy at Palumbo defeated Mastery Charter North, 62-60 in the opening round of the Philadelphia Public League playoffs on Thursday.

Sophomore Andrew Fagans hit two free-throws with one second remaining to put the Griffins in front for good after an incredible rally. Palumbo trailed by nine points late in the fourth quarter before Fagans displayed his heroics.

Senior and recent 1,000-point scorer Ibrahim Kane netted a team-high 22 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter to spark the comeback.
