The Neumann-Goretti High School girls basketball team pulled out a thriller in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs with a 64-61 victory over St. Basil Academy on Friday night at Lower Moreland High School.

Diamond Johnson led all scorers with 36 points as the Saints rallied from a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Sierra Burmudez, who finished with 12 points, hit the game-tying three pointer to make it 58-58 with under two minutes to go. Mihjae Hayes added seven points for Neumann-Goretti.
