Columbus Crossing donates to Share Food Program

The Philadelphia’s Bakers Centre and Columbus Crossing shopping centers donated $15,000 to the Share Food Program to support children suffering from food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CoreGiving Foundation, a national philanthropic partnership between ShopCore Properties and LivCor dedicated to fighting childhood hunger, is supporting food banks where ShopCore Properties owns and operates shopping centers, including Bakers Centre in East Falls and Columbus Crossing in South Philadelphia.

In less than a month, CoreGiving has raised more than $455,000. To date, $355,000 has been distributed into communities throughout the country.

“We believe we all need to help take care of one another during this time,” said Rishika Mahtani, marketing manager, ShopCore Properties. “The City and School District of Philadelphia have done so much to help ensure students experiencing food insecurity receive breakfast and lunch while schools are closed. And with this donation, Bakers Centre and Columbus Crossing are helping Share provide healthy food to even more kids and families throughout the community.”
