Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on the 1600 block of Annin Street on Thursday night.
According to police, a 45-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and right side at approximately 8:49 p.m. The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m., police said.
There have been no arrests.
It was the 125th homicide of the year in Philadelphia, which represents the highest amount of homicides in the first four months of the year since 2007, according to statistics on the Philadelphia Police website.
