Spraygrounds now open in Philadelphia

While public pools remain closed to the coronavirus pandemic, several sprinklers and spraygrounds opened across the city on Monday.

According to the city’s Parks and Recreation website, South Philly locations include: A. Guiseppe DiSilvestro Playground at 1701 S. 15th Street, Charles Seger Park at 1000 Lombard Street, Columbus Square at 1200 Wharton Street, Dr. Nicola Capitolo Playground at 900 Federal Street, Mifflin Square at 500 Wolf Street, Nelson M. Herron Playground and Recreation Center at 213 Reed Street, Shot Tower Recreation Center at 101 Carpenter Street, Starr Garden at 600 Lombard Street, Thomas B. Smith Recreation Center at 2100 S. 24th Street, Thomas I. Guerin Recreation Center at 2201 S. 16th Street, Weccacoe Square at 405 Queen Street, William H. Markward Memorial Playground at 400 S. Taney Street and William Lanier Park at 1600, S. 29th Street.

Residents are asked to stay six feet apart in accordance with social distancing. Spraygrounds will be open 3-7 p.m. on weekdays and from noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.
