Scholarship available for coding bootcamp

Tech Elevator, a 14-week coding and career prep bootcamp, is committing $1 million to launch its “Represent Tech” scholarship program, designed to support “historically underrepresented” groups.

The scholarship covers 85% of tuition.

To date, the average salary increase of a placed Tech Elevator graduate after 14 weeks of training is $26,000.

“Acquiring in-demand programming skills that can secure well-paying and resilient careers in tech is one way we can contribute to changing lives and closing the income and opportunity gap,” said co-founder and CEO Anthony Hughes.

Tech Elevator’s program has launched more than 1,100 careers in tech, ranking at the top of the coding bootcamp industry, according to the audited results of the Council on Integrity Results in Reporting (CIRR.org).
