Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show receives national top ranking

While preparing for an upcoming virtual show, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Association received the nation’s top ranking among art festivals by Sunshine Artist Magazine for its June show.

“We’re extremely honored to be selected No. 1,” said Sandra Sedmak Engel, professional artist and Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Association Board of Directors chair. “Our artists and our loyal art patrons inspire us to do our very best to share the transformative power of original, quality artwork. It’s deeply gratifying to be recognized in this way. The board of directors, which is entirely comprised of participating artists, runs the show with the help of volunteers in the community.”

This year, due to COVID-19, the September show — which was ranked No. 4 in the country — will be virtual, with 101 artists from all over the U.S. and Canada showing their original artwork online, Sept. 10-13. Artwork will be available for purchase throughout the weekend on an online gallery at www.rittenhousesquareart.com. Special artists’ appearances, such as art technique demonstrations, artist interviews, interactive art sessions and video conferencing with individual artists by Zoom, will occur virtually throughout the event. Art patrons will experience the live events throughout the show, Sept. 10-13, by visiting the RSFAS website.
