Philabundance receives hefty donation from Allied Universal

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company based in Conshohocken, recently donated more than 17,000 meals to Philabundance to feed people with food insecurity.

“Our food banks have taken an unprecedented hit from increased demand,” said DelMar Laury, President/Mid-Atlantic Region at Allied Universal. “I am truly honored to be able to help Philabundance continue to provide food and other assistance to families in need.”

The contribution will support Philabundance’s ongoing emergency response efforts to combat food insecurity for families who have been impacted by COVID-19.

“Due to the pandemic, Philabundance agencies are reporting up to a 60 percent increase in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia region,” said Philabundance CEO Loree D. Jones. “Allied Universal’s donation of more than 17,000 meals will help feed children, families, and seniors during these unprecedented times.”
