Drive-in Movie Night at IKEA

The Pennsylvania SPCA and IKEA will team up to host a Drive-in Movie Night on Saturday, October 10 to raise money for the SPCA’s lifesaving mission.

The family fun baseball movie “A League of Their Own”, starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Lori Petty will be shown in IKEA’s sprawling parking lot at 2206 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard in South Philly at approximately 6:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

The event will adhere to social distance guidelines and can accommodate more than 100 vehicles. Anyone leaving their vehicle will be required to wear a mask.

Priority seating is available for those who wish to sit upfront, with first and second row spots available for a donation of just $200 and $150 (limit 10 tickets per spot) respectively. General admission tickets, which parking will be given to on a first come, first serve basis, are available for a donation of $40 per car.

“During the pandemic, raising funds for our lifesaving mission has been extremely challenging,” said Gillian Kocher, Director of Public Relations at the Pennsylvania SPCA. “With nearly all of our in-person events cancelled, we are thrilled that with the help of IKEA we can finally host a socially distanced event. We hope to see many people, safely tucked in their cars or sitting out safely in the extra parking spots provided, for a night at the movies to bring a sense of normalcy to our lives while helping us save animal lives.”
