Pennsylvania SPCA hosts ‘Bark-in-a-Box’ virtual fundraiser

The Pennsylvania SPCA will host Bark & Whine 2020, a virtual fundraising benefit to celebrate the protection of animals.

The annual event and the PSPCA’s largest fundraising effort will take place online on Nov. 14 from 6:30-10 p.m. This signature event has attracted hundreds of animal advocates and raised nearly $5 million over the years.

The “Happy at Home” gala will allow animal advocates across the commonwealth to come together as a community to fight animal cruelty and support the lifesaving work of the PSPCA while properly socially-distancing at home.

In the absence of a traditional dinner ticket, supporters can purchase a Bark-in-a-Box, which includes everything needed to celebrate in style at home. Among the items included: a cocktail kit from Casamigos & 13th Street Cocktails, an exclusive Bark & Whine 2020 t-shirt & coasters, snacks from J&J Snack Foods, and much more. Bark-in-a-Boxes will be dropped to homes by volunteers and PSPCA staff in the days ahead of the virtual event so guests can fully participate in the night of events.

Activities include online silent auction, raffles, an adoptable animal cocktail hour sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and mission raise video will round out the programming, highlighting the continued need to help animals in trouble, even during a pandemic.
