Mutter Museum reopens

The Mutter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia will reopen to the public on Friday, Jan. 15.

Located at 19 S. 22nd Street, the Mutter Museum will resume normal hours, Thursdays through Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Capacity will be limited to 25 people in the building at one time and all staff and visitors will be required to wear masks and social distance. The museum will remain closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Mütter Museum displays collections of anatomical specimens, models and medical instruments in a nineteenth-century setting, includes slides of Albert Einstein’s Brain, the 139 skulls from Hyrtl’s collection, and a biannual rotation of art exhibits that accompany the themes and aims of the museum’s collections.
