Neumann-Goretti’s Opanel perfect in District 12 championship

Kevin Opanel threw a five-inning perfect game, striking out 11 as the Neumann-Goretti High School baseball team defeated String Theory 14-0 in the PIAA District 12 3A championship on Thursday.

The Saints (15-6 record) compiled 11 hits, including a pair of triples from junior Louie Delbrocco (three RBIs). Jimmy Gallo contributed a pair of RBI singles in the victory.
