South Philly residents can share their ideas for the new Pattison Playground as part of the $4.5 million FDR Park Master Plan, which was announced earlier this year.

The first phase of implementation will include the construction of an exciting signature playground and picnic area celebrating FDR Park’s unique identity. The Children’s Play Area, located near Pattison Lagoon will include high quality, interactive play elements set within a landscape of natural features including barrier-free paths, hills and planted spaces and will be next to the park’s Welcome Center.

The free information session will be held on June 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at Picnic Spot 2 in FDR Park, which is located across from the current playground.

Interested participants should register online so organizers can supply enough materials for the event. Residents unavailable to attend can download the activity sheet, fill it out and send it in.
