Around Town: Fringe musical

Producers Chelsea Cylinder and Danielle Moore announced the premiere of their filmed stage musical, Crossover: A New Pop Musical, which will be screened live and streamed digitally as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

When four women tie in the regional singing competition, they reluctantly opt to compete on the national broadcast as a group: Four-Way Tie. As they navigate the ups and downs of sudden fame, they learn more about themselves and each other than they ever thought possible.

Outdoor rooftop movie screenings are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 2, at Friends Select School, 17th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

An indoor theater screening is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, at Friends Select.

There will be snacks, drinks and a surprise interactive component.

Tickets to the live event will be sold at the door and through fringearts.com.

All tickets are $10.
