East Passyunk Avenue will be scaring up a good time for the Halloween season.

The East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District will host Fall Fest & Spooky Saturday on Oct. 30, bringing fall fun, costumes, crafters and entertainment to the popular South Philly avenue.

“We’re excited to welcome in the fall season with an outdoor event that truly has something for everyone,” said Adam Leiter, executive director of East Passyunk Avenue BID. “Come experience Halloween activities and entertainment, find delicious food and drinks, explore the new location of our craft fair, and discover some of the newly opened businesses on East Passyunk Avenue. There’s always something exciting to find on the Avenue, and during Fall Fest & Spooky Saturday the fun is sure to double.”

Starting at 11 a.m., East Passyunk Avenue will become a fall festival, as 160 independently owned businesses will provide the backdrop for costumed fun, craft vendors,

pumpkin pickups, sidewalk sales, live entertainment and more.

Get to the Singing Fountain at Tasker Street early for free grab-and-go pumpkins by Urban Jungle and a free costume photo booth for children, adults and pets as the Bubble Queen and Mia Johnson provide entertainment. At 1 p.m., Snacktime brings the dancing in contemporary brass band style.

The PPA lot at 1628 E. Passyunk will also host a list of activities, including 40 of the region’s top artists and crafters while DJ Linz and Mars spins tunes.

Mifflin Triangle will feature Mark Brown and his saxophone for classic Halloween tunes at 2 p.m. All along the avenue, visitors can find sidewalk sales and pop-up events, a digital scavenger hunt and trick-or-treating. Grown-ups can have a scary good time too with seasonal fall food items and spirited cocktails.
