Pet of the Week: Dusty ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog

Dusty is looking for his true forever home. He’s now been in four different homes without ever being given a chance to fully decompress and settle in. Dusty is a hound. Here are some things that hounds do: 1. Howl; 2. Get curious and get into things; 3. Love you.

Dusty’s adopter just needs to be committed to allowing him to take the three-week (to three-month) decompression time that most dogs need. He’s around 4 years old and already has some training under his belt. He’s great with other dogs. He used to go to daycare and did wonderfully. If given the chance to properly adjust to a home, he’ll be the best companion out there.

The ideal home would be one with hound experience that is not in an apartment building. Email info@savedme.org if you can help put some stability in this boy’s life.
