The American Swedish Historical Museum inside FDR Park will host the unique atmosphere of a Julmarknad, or Swedish Christmas Market, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Dec. 4-5.

The outdoor event features a large selection of Scandinavian food, gifts and holiday decorations including handcrafted clothing, baskets, ironwork and woodwork. The Swedish Christmas Café will be selling holiday foods and sweets.

Along with the market, ASHM is bringing back its St. Lucia children’s program from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m., when children sing along to Swedish holiday classics and process through the market in honor of St. Lucia. There will also be live holiday music performed by the Last Chance duo and a raffle will take place during the market with handmade Scandinavian items up for grabs. Admission is $5 for non-member adults (12 and up) and free for members and children under 12. For tickets, visit https://www.americanswedish.org/events.
