Bravo Brass, an all-brass ensemble of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute, presents choral masterworks as part of its Bravo Brass Sings concert at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church at 1625 Locust St. Conducted by Paul Bryan, the concert will feature choral masterworks by Anton Bruckner, George Frideric Handel, Eric Whitacre and others, specifically arranged for brass ensemble. Dr. Danielle Allen on “Our Declaration,” – from 6-7 p.m., political theorist and author Dr. Danielle Allen will join the American Revolution Museum at 101 S. 3rd St. to discuss her groundbreaking book Our Declaration: A Reading of the Declaration of Independence in Defense of Equality.

The hybrid event will take place in the Museum’s Liberty Hall and will be livestreamed for ticketed online viewers. Proof of vaccination required for the onsite event. Best of the Eagles – at 9 p.m. at Live! Abandon virtual reading – at 8 p.m., Theatre Exile will host an online virtual reading of ‘Abandon’ by James Ijames. The one-night-only reading on Zoom follows Luella, who is alone. She is haunted by the ghost of her son. Joshua is alone. He has been kicked out of his house by his brother. One winter night, these two people collide into each other. Luella is looking for redemption, Joshua is looking for family. By the next morning, these two lonely souls are meshed together into an American Family in its truest sense.
